Summer at Three Corners Adventure Playground is going to be awesome. Yes is FREE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Our Playground, is a FREE!!!!!!!, exciting, creative, play space for children to play freely, in their own way, in their own time. There is no limit to the play opportunities available, freely chosen and imagined by children. The Adventure Playground is a parent/carer free play space supported by our Playworkers, who are all highly qualified and enhanced police checked. We have outdoor swings, bridges, climbing structures, an amazing under floor maze with mirrors and lighting inside, a fire pit and a 3g astro turf football pitch. Children have ownership of their environment they can change the environment to enhance their own experiences while engaging in risky play activities, challenge themselves and their peers, learn new skills. There are areas to make dens, sand castles, fires, play with water, dig and plant, hunt mini-beast and discover nature. For those who like arts and crafts, we have lots of materials for you to create anything you can imagine. Play worker’s will introduce you to new crafts that you may not have tried before, such as water candles, plaster-casting, clay modelling, tie n dye, costume making, badge making and many more craft activities. Our outdoor pizza oven provides perfect opportunity to cook fresh healthy pizzas with herbs and vegetables grown by children on site. There will be lots of opportunities to cook both indoors and outside exploring recipes from around the world. Adventure playgrounds are ‘open-access’ sites, allowing children and young people to come and go from the playground freely. However, we work with parents/carers, who would not like their child/children to leave the site until collected to ensure the children know they cannot just leave site. Also all children under 8s are challenged regarding whether they have guardian permission to leave the site. All children and young people who use the playground must have a completed registration form that provides essential information about the child, including emergency contact details of their parent/carer. This ensures that staff members are aware of all children on the playground that it meets standards set by Ofsted, and that parents or carers can be contacted quickly in the unlikely event of an accident or emergency. To support working parents we offer a Lunch Club between 1.00pm – 2.00pm, where children can bring a packed lunch from home and stay onsite with supervision during the closure hour. Payments for Lunch Club can only be made on the first Monday of each week, for the days you wish your child to stay on that week. Limited spaces are available, so we operate on a first come first serve basis. The Cost is £5 per day per child. Children must bring their own packed lunch. Parent packs are available onsite that give more information on; suitable clothing, attendance and collection arrangements, staff information, behavior, what happens on adventure playgrounds and our duty of care.
